Sunset Community Garden is a cooperative effort of gardening enthusiasts to grow seasonal produce for members and land donors. Working members pay only minimal dues each year and put 5 hours a week into the garden throughout the growing season (April through October) , and at least 5 hours per month on the off season (November through March).
Our supporting members support us financially through a greater dues payment. Land donors provide irrigated land for our use, including the power to run pumps for irrigation and supervision of the watering process.
All members recieve a share of the produce that comes out of the garden. We are located primarily on a 1/3 acre plot at the Christian Retirement Community, with another garden plot in a nearby residence. We are just wrapping up our second year and are planning for the 2009 growing season.

Working members spend an average of 5 hours each week during our "productive months" from April through October, along with a 10 or so hours of setup and preparation in February and March, and 10 hours of cleanup in November.
